Caribou – “Can’t Do Without You” (Remixes)

Caribou’s album Our Love has been on non-stop as of late. The opener “Can’t Do Without You” is undoubtedly one of the best tracks of 2014, these remixes by Lenno, Munk & The Black Loops, and Tale Of Us & Mano Le Tough are as infectious. I couldn’t choose one, so you got three. Which is your favorite? Enjoy.

Caribou is playing at The Social next Tuesday! I’ll be there, so should you.

23 Days to Bonnaroo: Die Antwoord

Since the fearsome threesome just released a new video for the song “Pitbull Terrier,” now seems like a good time to tackle this South African beast. Enjoy.

Bonnaroo Tip of the Day: Just because you don’t hear any music coming from the Silent Disco, that doesn’t necessarily mean there’s nothing going on.

Die Antwoord – Saturday, June 14, 1:45 A.M. – The Other Tent

Similar Bonnaroo Sounds: A Tribe Called Red, Danny Brown

The most fitting way I can find to describe everything Die Antwoord: fucked up shit! However, this is not an insult. In fact, I think Die Antwoord would be offended if I called them anything less explicit. Die Antwoord is a South African rap-rave collective whose debaucherous, and that’s putting it lightly, themes and hard beats have built them a surprisingly large following in the US. They’ve released two albums thus far, $O$ and Ten$ion, and their third album Donker Mag is scheduled to be drop on June 3.

I will definitely be seeing Die Antwoord live. Actually, I have no other choice. My girlfriend is dying to see Yo-Landi Vi$$er, the group’s Fergie with more meth. But just because I have no say in whether or not I’m seeing going to see them, that doesn’t mean I’m not excited. “In fact, I don’t know if I’m more scared or aroused.” – Allie Warhol

28 Days to Bonnaroo: A Tribe Called Red

Day 3. While scouring the near infinite list of Bonnaroo acts, I stumbled upon this treasure. And from what I’ve heard so far, this is an amazing act you don’t want to miss. Enjoy.

A Tribe Called Red – Friday, June 13, 7:00 P.M. – That Tent

“Tribe” is the most fitting term for this collection of Canadian DJs/Producers. There sound combines the full-frontal attack of electronic music, with Native American tribal screams, claps, and funky ass beats. If you never thought you would get down to the sounds of nomads, be prepared to think again. I personally, am very selective with my electronic music, but this is so different. So primal. So real. You can’t help but move. If, at some point on Friday after 7:00 P.M., precipitation starts falling from the sky, look towards That Tent. Because I’m 99% sure you’ll find people doing some sort of rain dance.
