I shut up and let the music speak for itself. Enjoy.
This post was going to be a list of deeply meaningful quotations by musicians; but during my research, I concluded that Chicago MC Kanye West’s tweets trump them all. Have you ever taken the time to read Kanye West’s twitter feed? It’s a treat. He’s like the R.L. Stine of 140 characters or less. Here are five awesome Kanye tweets. Enjoy.
Note: Ye deletes his twitter a lot, so some of these tweets won’t appear on his current feed.
If you are a fan of lists containing interesting facts about music – obviously, ones containing more intellectual value – I suggest you check out Musicology 101. They’ll be sure to get your rocks off. You perverts.
1. Kanye West – always smiling
2. A promotional tweet for Ye’s new sex tape
3. Bebas Neue gets me every time.
4. Kanye is requesting right-ins
5. Yeezus should spend a little more time in bike stores.
6. Bonus Round: Water Bottle Responsibility
Even though it’s overcast here in Orlando, I’m feeling happy. Usually, I hate the beach, but today I’m feeling some good surf jamz (that’s jams with a “z”). Also, Mondays suck. So here’s a playlist of surf music, along with other songs that I like. Maybe even a few surprises. Enjoy.

Third Man Records is making candy?
Yeah, it didn’t make since to me either, but look how tasty it looks?
The different candies available include: a variety of Holiday Libations Marshmallows, Electrified Peppermint Bark, and Smoked Spice Orange Syrup. Along with the recently announced The Great Third Man Turkey Drive, it seems Third Man Records is really getting into the holiday season. What’s next? Jack White releasing a Christmas LP would be pretty crazy, or maybe an in-house Santa Clause?
It’s Halloween. Time for some scary music videos. That’s all I got. Enjoy.
Want to know what I dressed as this Halloween? Head over to The Vinyl Warhol’s Twitter, and find out.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs – “Y Control”
Children ripping out their innards, and cutting off their appendages. Spike Jonze really knows how to direct a music video, and this is downright disturbing. Also Yeah Yeah Yeahs are an incredible band, and this is probably my favorite of their songs.
Kanye West ft. Rick Ross, Jay-Z, and Nicki Minaj – “Monster”
Kanye as Indiana Jones, Jay-Z as The Godfather, Nicki Minaj as Dracula, and Rick Ross as Snorlax, this video has it all.
Note: I can rap this song in it’s entirety.
Tool – “Schism”
I could have picked any Tool video, their all unsettling. Fuck this video and the way it makes me feel.
Lady Gaga – “Bad Romance”
“Bad Romance” isn’t that scary, but I think it’s good for Halloween. The costume design is amazing, and the coreography is perfect. It’s about Gaga being sold as a prostitute, and she ultimately burns someone alive with her sex. Happy Halloween!
Last night, Kanye West headed to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to promote, “The Yeezus Tour”, with a powerful rendition of “Bound 2”. Jimmy Fallon let the news of Kanye’s performance slip on Twitter, a few hours before the show. But, other than that, it was a surprise to see Yeezus. In recent months, Kanye has only performed a handful of times: launching into a minimalist tornado at the VMAs, with “Blood on the Leaves”, and sicking the dogs Saturday Night Live, performing both “Black Skinhead” and “New Slaves”. But Kanye didn’t come to Fallon alone, he had some help from soul singer, Charlie Wilson, and boys choir.
Don’t miss “The Yeezus Tour”, with special guest Kendrick Lamar, when it comes to your town. I was lucky enough to see Kanye, along with Jay Z, on the 2011, “Watch the Throne” tour. It was a night full of energy and hit songs, and with this being Kanye West’s first solo tour since the “Glow in the Dark” tour in 2009, he is, pun intended, “Bound 2” make it something memorable.
